First Aid/CPR/AED Courses

American Red Cross first aid, CPR and AED programs are designed to give you the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life. Additional training in bloodborne pathogens, oxygen administration and injury prevention can be added to CPR and first aid training to prepare you to prevent and respond to life-threatening emergencies.

Red Cross first aid, CPR and AED courses are available for any age and can be tailored to the needs of specific groups and individuals. Whether you work with children, want training for employees, are a professional rescuer, or simply want to know how to help someone in an emergency, the American Red Cross has a program for you. Train lay responders to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Also provides the lay responder with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and to minimize pain and the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives. CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Re-Certification

To re-certify professional rescuers (those with a duty to act and provide care) in the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies, including the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. (Includes skills to care for adults, children & infants). Pre-requisites: Current certification in CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (or certification that has been expired for no more than 1 year). Required materials (not included): American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Participant's Manual (item # 652162 = $12.99) & a pocket mask ($12). Wilderness First Aid

This intensive 16-hour program is specifically tailored for those who work, live or play in remote or back country areas – away from the usual EMS service. Skills, knowledge and group activities included - how to safely transport injured victims, prioritize care, provide first aid, and make life or death decisions when an emergency occurs far from help. Take-home materials include: When Help is Delayed manual, Mountaineering First Aid manual, and Wilderness First Aid Basics manual.
