What Is A Challenge?
A "challenge" offers you the opportunity to earn certification in First Aid - Responding to Emergencies without completing a full-length or review course. A challenge requires you to demonstrate your skills and knowledge for evaluation by a certified American Red Cross instructor. A challenge is NOT an instructor led practice or coaching session. All responsibility for preparedness rests with you!
Study Up! In preparation for your challenge session, please thoroughly review your First Aid - Responding to Emergencies Participant's Manual (provided upon payment / registration) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the knowledge and skill portions of the course. A score of 80% or higher must be received on the written exam to proceed on to the skills examination.

Ask Questions First! The day of session, before beginning your written & skills exams, please take the time to ask your instructor any questions you may have. At that time, upon your request (and at the instructors' discretion) you may also be permitted to view segments of the corresponding video for which you'd like additional clarification (before your written and skills exams have begun).
