The American Red Cross and NYSEG Announce a New Energy Assistance Program
The American Red Cross, Southern Tier Chapter and NYSEG are excited to announce a new energy assistance program funded by a $500,000 contribution from NYSEG. This new Matching Incentive Payment Program goes one step further than Project Share by expanding the eligible customer pool to include customers who often get left out of traditional assistance programs, but who are struggling nonetheless.
The Southern Tier Chapter is pleased to have the opportunity to expand its partnership with NYSEG and provide assistance to people with energy emergencies through Project Share and now the new Matching Incentive Payment Program.
Starting Monday, October 13, individuals with a shut off notice from NYSEG may contact their local American Red Cross to apply.
